MULE NORMANDIE, RIDE OF REMEMBRANCE
17th to 22nd June 2016
Following the success of the 2014 Mule Bretagne Brittany Bike Bash, which saw 30 riders take on a five day cycle around Brittany and raise over £36,000 for local charities, we decided to do it again!
THE CHALLENGE
Mule Normandie saw 38 riders take on a five day cycle challenge around Normandy and Brittany. The riders were split into groups depending on their preferred distance and cycling speed with two routes available each day, one averaging 50-55 miles and a second of 75-80 miles.
COST
The cost of the ride was £795 which included: ferry transport to and from France; five night’s accommodation; all meals; secure overnight bike storage; support vehicles and staff; baggage transport between hotels; two Mule Normandie cycling tops and two Mule Normandie water bottles.
SPONSORSHIP
In addition to the cost to participate, each rider was asked to raise £500 in sponsorship for OF&D. In total we raised an amazing £37,000!!
